Sexual Harassment Training
Jessica A. Milligan, Attorney with Robbins Schwartz, will present on sexual harassment prevention, response, and liability under applicable federal laws, including sexual harassment and discrimination under Title VII. This virtual training, provided by Robbins Schwartz and sponsored by Great Lakes Credit Union, will include the requirements set forth by the Illinois Department of Human Resources.
Attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.
Topics will include:
- An overview of sexual harassment under the Illinois Human Rights Act, including categories of harassment and the scope of individuals and workplaces covered by the Act;
- An overview of federal laws addressing sexual harassment in the workplace;
- Examples of conduct that may constitute unlawful sexual harassment; and
- Summary of employer responsibilities for preventing, investigating, and addressing concerns of sexual harassment.
Annual Employee Sexual Harassment Training
In August 2019, Governor Pritzker signed sweeping legislation that made significant changes to various Illinois discrimination and ethics laws to combat sexual harassment. Illinois employers must now implement annual training for all employees regarding sexual harassment prevention that meets the minimum standards set forth by the Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR).
