Will County CED Summer Internship Program Breakfast

The Will County CED launched the Will County Summer Internship Program for the first time this year, and it has been a huge success. We were able to provide 38 PAID internships to Joliet Township High School students with organizations such as IKEA, YMCA, state legislators’ offices, Silver Cross Hospital, Pace Bus, Joliet Junior College and many more. This program has been a game-changer for students, offering them the chance to explore career paths, gain valuable, resume-building experience, and make meaningful connections within the community. It’s also helping address the growing workforce needs right here in Will County.  

Now, we’re looking to take this program to the next level by expanding it to all Will County school districts for Summer 2025, and we need your help! We’re searching for businesses in your communities that are eager to hire interns but have struggled to find the right connections. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the incredible opportunities right here in our communities and encourage students to stay in Will County as our future workforce.
