VoyagerNetz Salesperson


Over the last several years we at VoyagerNetz have been developing a new product, Engage, which is a message based communication platform designed to help businesses streamline all of their messaging communication (texting, social media messages, web chat, and more) into one place, and improve team communication around customer interactions, all while enhancing Customer Service. This product is now launched and ready to hit the market - so we need a salesperson to help us grow our customer base. There is very limited competition for this product, and we are prepared to empower the right salesperson with all the tools they need to succeed. We are seeking a qualified individual who excels at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals. The ideal candidate does not need to be a technical salesperson, but will need to be a quick learner, with the ability to adapt and negotiate. Tasked with giving presentations & demonstrations, attending networking events, and representing our VoyagerNetz Brand in groups and sponsorships, it’s essential that this individual be personable and professional.

Objectives of this Role

  • Meet monthly sales quotas through the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies and tactics, initiated by both the Salesperson and VoyagerNetz as a whole.

  • Generate leads and build relationships through planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential clients.

  • Represent VoyagerNetz’ products and services effectively, starting with a deep and comprehensive training, and executing across customer markets.

  • Provide customer feedback to Enterprise team to help influence future products and development.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers, often utilizing product demos and conversations.

  • Weekly Meetings to strategize and report on customer trends and sales success.

  • Attend networking & social events, networking group meetings, trade shows, and other lead generating opportunities.

  • Ongoing product education in order to effectively conduct demos, make accurate sales, and productively communicate to customers. 

  • Coordinate with other VoyagerNetz teams for product implementations, marketing initiatives, and ongoing customer service.

  • Prepare professional, complete, concise and accurate reports, proposals, booking packages, and other documentation as required for executive-level presentations.

Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 2-5 years in sales

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills

  • Self-Directed and Motivated Sales Professional

  • Ability to travel to customers, events, and meetings.

  • Ability to contact new leads and to execute an outreach and follow-up strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong existing relationships with local businesses and/or mid-sized 

  • Proven success rate at levels above quotas

  • Some Software or Technology sales experience

Compensation + Commission Structure

We at VoyagerNetz believe wholeheartedly in supporting our salespeople and empowering them to succeed. Not only to succeed in terms of company success, but the personal and financial success of the salesperson individually. For this reason we are built on a 40% commission structure. Not just on the initial sale, but the monthly payments for the first 12 months. We have no caps on commission. Within our model, by reaching minimum sales targets - the salary is 50-60K in the first year. But by reaching our projected sales targets - the salary is in the 110-120K range in the first year. With no caps on commission, this structure is designed to help the Salesperson succeed effectively and quickly.
